“You” are the customer (main driver) who signed the rental agreement and who is entitled to drive the vehicle.
“Drive Me Barcelona” is the DRIVE ME BARCELONA is the subsidiary named in the rental agreement.
“Vehicle” is the car that Drive Me Barcelona is renting to you for the agreed duration of the rental agreement.

General rental conditions
Use of the vehicle
The Vehicle must not be driven by anyone other than you and then only under the condition that your ability to drive is not in any way impaired by mental or physical incapacity or restricted by the Law.
They are only authorized to drive the vehicle the person or persons identified and accepted by the Lessor in the lease, provided they are over 25 years, and they hold and are in possession of valid driver’s license and valid for at least two years old. Child restrictions apply. `Children´ are classified as those under the age of 13.
You are liable for all fees, taxes, fines and penalties incurred in connection with the use of the Vehicle and for which DRIVE ME BARCELONA is charged, unless they have arisen through the fault of DRIVE ME BARCELONA .
You undertake to use the Vehicle in a responsible manner and in particular, only for the purposes for which it is intended. For a car, this means primarily carrying passengers other than for hire and reward.
In particular, you must not use the Vehicle under any of the following conditions or for any of the following purposes:
– driving the Vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other type of narcotic substances,
– transportation of inflammable or dangerous goods, as well as toxic, corrosive, radioactive or other harmful substances,- carrying anything which, because of its smell or condition, harms the Vehicle or causes DRIVE ME BARCELONA to lose time or money before it can rent the Vehicle again, – transportation of live animals (with the exception of domestic pets, subject to prior authorisation by DRIVE ME BARCELONA), – re-rental to or use by other persons, – carrying passengers for hire or reward, – participating in rallies, competitions or trials, wherever they may take place, – exceeding the authorised load weight. – travelling on non-paved roads or on roads, the surface or state of repair of which could put the vehicle’s wheels, tyres or its under body mechanics at risk, – intentionally committing any offence. – none of the goods and baggage carried in the Vehicle, including their packing and stowage equipment, will be permitted to damage the Vehicle, nor put the occupants abnormally at risk, – in any way which breaks the highway Code, road traffic laws or any other laws.
You will be liable for any offence committed during the rental period which relates in any way to your use of the Vehicle, as if you were the owner of the Vehicle. Upon the request of the Police or any official body DRIVE ME BARCELONA may have to transfer your personal data. Such transfer will be done in accordance with the data protection Laws of the country of rental.
Drive Me Barcelona reserves the right to select the driving mode “Comfort” and “Sport” depending on the conditions of the track and driving abilities of the pilot. The disconnect mode assists “CST” (off) is strictly prohibited at all times.
Condition of the Vehicle.
A description of the condition of the Vehicle will be given to you at the same time as the rental agreement.
Before leaving the rental location, you are required to check the condition of the Vehicle. Where an apparent defect is found which is not already listed in the document, you must immediately inform the DRIVE ME BARCELONA employee at the counter in order to proceed with a joint-examination of the Vehicle.
In such a case, amendments must be made to the document and duly countersigned by both parties.
If the amended document is not countersigned by both parties, the condition of the Vehicle will be as set out in the document given to you with the rental agreement and it will be considered that you received the Vehicle in proper working condition.
You will return the Vehicle in the same condition as it was provided at the start of the rental. You are responsible for any repair or refurbishment costs and these will be added to the cost of the rental, subject to the conditions of the section “Summary of Optional Guarantees” as set out below. Costs due to damages are: 400€ for any minor damage to the wheel and/or rim, 750€ for any major damage to the wheel/rim and 900€ for any other damage.
Rates, duration and rental
The total charges for each rental will be determined according to the price list applicable at the time of rental.
The rental price includes the obligatory car insurance, personal liability and taxes. This price does not include the optional insurances from the general terms and conditions. If desired, you can select additional services that will be charged and reflected in the rental contract.
Extension of the Original Duration of the Rental Should you wish to keep the Vehicle for a period longer than that originally set out in the rental agreement, you are must first contact a DRIVE ME BARCELONA representative in order to extend the duration of the rental agreement (depending upon the country of rental this may require you to come in person to a DRIVE ME BARCELONA location).
The Vehicle is insured for the period mentioned on the rental agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by DRIVE ME BARCELONA, once this period is passed, the contracting party remains liable for any damages to Europcar.
You undertake to return the Vehicle to DRIVE ME BARCELONA at the agreed place, on the date and at the time indicated on the rental agreement.
Payment
You agree to pay to DRIVE ME BARCELONA:
The rate applicable on your rental contract, with its duration, insurances and additional services as well as taxes.
The cost of the damages incurred on the car and its direct profit lost. You will be charged according to section 2 from this document.
Cost of using the incorrect petrol.
The costs of any fines during your rental period and its court costs.
The amount of 70€ to arrange all papers required due to fines.
The amount of 100€ to arrange record of car damages.
The amount of 150€ to arrange road assistance.
Terms of Payment
You will have to pay to DRIVE ME BARCELONA the amounts reflected on section 4.1 by means of a credit card or cash. Invoice will be in euros. If for whatever reason the conversion cannot be processed by DRIVE ME BARCELONA, or is declined by the cardholder at time of rental or when this DCC option is not available in the country, the transaction will be submitted in the Rental Currency and then converted afterwards according to the cardholder’s bank conditions.
In the event of non-payment by the due date shown on the invoice, you will be liable, for payment of interest on the due amount in accordance with the details on the invoice, if any..
The tariffs applicable to the rental, to the additional services and to the optional covers or insurances are those which are in force on the date of issue of the rental agreement, and correspond to the characteristics you originally indicated at the time of reservation (Vehicle type rental, duration, return station…). Any modification in the characteristics will entail the use of an appropriate alternative tariff.
This site employs the use security features and techniques that are generally accepted in the information industry such as firewalls, access control procedures and cryptographic mechanisms. These features are used in order to prevent unauthorized data access. To achieve a safe and secure transaction, the user/customer agrees that the provider will obtain this data for access control and authentication purposes.
Payment Restrictions: Individuals are only authorized to complete payment and purchase Drive Me Barcelona services if they are identified and accepted by the Lessor. You must also be over the age of 21 in order to purchase and complete the payment for Barcelona City Tour and Experiences Services. You must be over the age of 25 in order to purchase and complete the payment for Drive Me Barcelona Rental Car Services. You must be over the age of 18 in order to purchase and complete the payment for Drive Me Barcelona Track Day Services
Cancellations and Returns:
Cancellations 15 days prior to the booked day: 100% of the reservation will be returned.
Cancellations 7 days prior to the booked day: 60% of the booking amount will be refunded.
Later cancellations 7 days of the booked day: 30% of the booking amount will be refunded.
If canceled or no show the day booked the company will not make any refund.
PLEASE NOTE: All returns are subject to management fees that may cause to be paid by the customer.
Compulsory car Insurance
All the vehicles in DRIVE ME BARCELONA are insured against Bodily Injury and/or Property Damage that you might inflict on a third party as a result of an accident involving the Vehicle. The amounts for such liability cover are available on request in the country of rental.
Coverage is guaranteed by the car insurance company from DRIVE ME BARCELONA.
Vehicles are neither insured against any luggage lost nor damages to the car due to theft, vandalism and/or traffic accident.
Optional Insurances
Full insurance* if you have held your diving license for over 7 years and had no accidents within the last 5 years. DRIVE ME BARCELONA offers you a full insurance with an additional charge according to the actual rates.
Full insurance* if you have held your diving license for less than 7 years and had no accidents within the last 5 years. DRIVE ME BARCELONA offers you a full insurance with an additional charge according to the actual rates.
*Except minor and major damages to wheels and rims.
Maintenance and repairs
If the car breaks down, you will have to contact wither DRIVE ME BARCELONA or the car insurance company held by DRIVE ME BARCELONA to assist you. Car assistance cost from third party companies will be only accepted if agreed by DRIVE ME BARCELONA prior hiring the service and in urgent cases.
Rental amendments
Current General Terms & Conditions, and its contractual clauses will be amended only prior writing agreement between DRIME ME BARCELONA and you.
Legislation and applicable jurisdiction
The current contract will be registered and interpreted according to the laws from the country in which contract has been signed.
Any queries between you and DRIVE ME BARCELONA will be competence of the Spanish courts, to which both parties are submitted.
